Community Pool Offers Easter Event For Kids

boy swimming in poolCoronado Fitness Center will be offering a wonderful event for the children 12 and under of property owners and their sponsored guests. An Aqua Egg Hunt will be held at the pool here at the fitness center, located at 160 Ponderosa Lane here in Hot Springs Village, on April 16th from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.. Children under 12 can hunt for eggs in the pool with some eggs floating in the water for non-swimmers. Adults are asked to accompany any non-swimmers for their safety. This is required. Infants and toddlers will be offered a baby pool with easily accessible eggs. Some eggs will have a gold coin that will offer a special surprise to the lucky finder. Cost for this event is $5 per participant and $2 for participants that are 2 years and younger. Also, please bring your own basket to the event as none will be provided. 

Hot Springs Village Police Department Offer Informative Class

Have you ever thought about how a police department operates? Well, now you can. The Hot Springs Village Citizen’s Police Academy, which was started in 2014, is offering their Citizen’s Police Academy class to area residents. The class meets once a week on Thursdays starting March 31st at 6 p.m.for a total of 8 sessions. The classes will meet at the Police Training Center located at 301 Balearic Rd. Hot Springs Village. The class has a limit of 40 attendees per session so be sure to pick up an application at the Police Station, located at 113 Calella Rd. Hot Springs Village, or you can click here. The application will go through an approval process and you will be contacted about it after applying. 

Trivia Night Planned for Library Fundraiser

open book with pages forming a heartThe Friends of the Coronado Center Library (FOCCL) is finally able to hold a much needed fundraiser this year after being postponed the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This has caused a deficit in the funding that the group needs and uses to help keep the library in good shape. The Library is also in search of volunteers who are able to donate their time to help keep the library in tip top order.
