Companion Animals Can Thrive Here In Hot Springs Village

dog and cat cuddlingOwning a pet can bring joy to your life that will last a lifetime. Research shows that having a pet in your life can reduce blood pressure as well as cholesterol levels as they increase exercise opportunities as you take your pet on a walk. Pets can also increase socialization and decrease loneliness and depression. Check out the CDC’s page and get some advice on picking the best pet for your health and well-being. All dogs located in the Hot Springs Village must be registered with the POA. The yearly fee is $11 and each dog will be issued a tag that attaches to their collar. If you need a registration form for your dog click here. There are leash laws for both Saline and Garland counties so that encompasses H.S.V. so all dogs must be leashed. It is also important that you clean up after your dog while out on the public walkways, trails and common areas. This makes for a more pleasant experience for everyone. It is also a good idea to have your pets microchipped so that if they do get lost it is much easier to return them to their rightful owners. Ask your veterinarian for more information on how to get your dog or cat microchipped.
