Hot Springs Village Hires New Chief of Police

police lightsRecently, the Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association hired a new Chief of Police for Hot Springs Village. They hired Kristi Bennett, a former resident of the Village. She has local connections as she grew up in the area with her parents and even graduated from Jessieville High School. She is happy to be able to return to Hot Springs Village with her husband, Joe as well as her son Collin.

Currently, Chief Bennett is the Chief of Police in the city of Texarkana, Arkansas. A dedicated officer since 2005 she has performed many jobs within the Texarkana police organization. During her 18 years with that department she has been a Patrol Officer as well as a Public Information Officer. In April of 2021 she was promoted to the Chief of Police within the organization. She has earned several awards during her distinguished career including the TOP COP award that is presented by the National Association of Police Organizations in Washington D.C.. Chief Bennett received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology as well as a Masters Degree in Public Administration. The official date that Chief Bennett will join the Hot Springs Village Police Department will be chosen and announced at a later date. All parties are excited about the opportunities that this new hire of Chief Bennett gives to the great community of Hot Springs Village.
