Memorial Day Observance Changes Business and Amenity Hours

american flagThis coming Monday, May 30th, the country will be celebrating Memorial Day, a federal holiday dedicated to observance of the United States military members who have died while serving in the armed forces. Hot Springs Village will also be observing and honoring the day. Celebrated on the last Monday of May since 1970 and on May 30th from 1868 to 1970. Since Memorial Day is a federal holiday there are certain offices and entities that will be closed completely on that day: 

  • POA Administrative Offices
  • Coronado Center Library
  • Coronado Community Center
  • Ponce de Leon Center
  • Woodlands Auditorium

Hot Springs Village Pickleball Club to Host Open House

pickleballThe Hot Springs Village Pickleball Club is having an Open House on June 18th from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Desoto Courts located at 209 Desoto Blvd here in Hot Springs Village. The Club will be teaching the basics of pickleball at this event. They will also be providing equipment and water for all participants. No reservations are required but it is recommended that you wear comfortable athletic wear and shoes.

Hot Springs Village Police Department Offer Informative Class

Have you ever thought about how a police department operates? Well, now you can. The Hot Springs Village Citizen’s Police Academy, which was started in 2014, is offering their Citizen’s Police Academy class to area residents. The class meets once a week on Thursdays starting March 31st at 6 p.m.for a total of 8 sessions. The classes will meet at the Police Training Center located at 301 Balearic Rd. Hot Springs Village. The class has a limit of 40 attendees per session so be sure to pick up an application at the Police Station, located at 113 Calella Rd. Hot Springs Village, or you can click here. The application will go through an approval process and you will be contacted about it after applying.
