Green Market Returns to Hot Springs Village

bunch of carrotsHot Springs Village residents will be happy to see its local farmers market return in early May! The Green Market will be open for business on May 5th at Grove Park, located at 1105 DeSoto Blvd. across from Woodlands Auditorium, here in the Village. Every Thursday the market will be open for 4 hours in the morning from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. through the end of September. 

Hot Springs Village Police Department Offer Informative Class

Have you ever thought about how a police department operates? Well, now you can. The Hot Springs Village Citizen’s Police Academy, which was started in 2014, is offering their Citizen’s Police Academy class to area residents. The class meets once a week on Thursdays starting March 31st at 6 p.m.for a total of 8 sessions. The classes will meet at the Police Training Center located at 301 Balearic Rd. Hot Springs Village. The class has a limit of 40 attendees per session so be sure to pick up an application at the Police Station, located at 113 Calella Rd. Hot Springs Village, or you can click here. The application will go through an approval process and you will be contacted about it after applying. 

Trivia Night Planned for Library Fundraiser

open book with pages forming a heartThe Friends of the Coronado Center Library (FOCCL) is finally able to hold a much needed fundraiser this year after being postponed the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This has caused a deficit in the funding that the group needs and uses to help keep the library in good shape. The Library is also in search of volunteers who are able to donate their time to help keep the library in tip top order.
