water bottlesBecause of the current situation involving the COVID-19 pandemic all of the water stations, fountains as well as the availability of ice are unavailable for use at this time at ALL golf courses in Hot Springs Village. As the weather continues to get warmer and summer temperatures continue to rise it is important to stay hydrated when you are outside for long periods of time. Your body is comprised of 65% water so it is essential to be able to replace any water loss that occurs when you are out in the hot sun. A well hydrated body will help you regulate your temperature, assist your kidneys in removing harmful toxins, lubricate your joints and muscles and keep your skin looking its best among other benefits.

You can watch for signs of dehydration when out in the warm weather as well. If you are experiencing less urination, urine that is dark in color, fatigue, lightheadedness, headache or muscle cramping be sure to increase your water intake. The amount of water that is "right" for each person varies but a good rule to go by is to divide your weight in half and try to drink that many ounces of water. If you have any questions you can consult your doctor as well. He or she can advise you based on any medical conditions that you may have.

Being able to enjoy our outdoor spaces safely this summer is important as we move through this situation, so lets make sure that we are doing all we can to get through this!
