Village Committees Need Members To Fill Key Roles

Submitted by on

business meetingThe Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association (POA) has many committees that have openings to serve. You must be a member of the POA in good standing in order to be considered to be placed on a committee. If you are interested you can fill out an application to be appointed to a standing committee available here. The appointment is then made by the Board of Directors and then you will be selected to serve on that committee for a given term. While the amount of time spent working on a committee varies you can expect to spend approximately 2 hours per week with a possibility of more time when certain events or occasions related to your committee are elevated. Another requirement is that you attend all monthly meetings. Failure to attend three meetings in a row will result in a possible removal from the committee.

Currently there are openings on the following committees:

  • Public Services
  • Finance & Planning
  • Common Property, Forest & WIldlife

You can return a completed application for consideration to Ella Scotty at the POA Administration Building at 895 DeSoto Boulevard, Hot Springs Village, AR 71909 or via email at escotty@hsvpoa.org.

For more information about all of the standing committees and their charters visit the members page of the POA website here:  https://www.explorethevillage.com/members/governance/committees/  Some of the committees may be meeting in person or some virtually so make sure you contact the appropriate person for more information.
