Submitted by on

Looking to pick up a new skill? Wire wrapping is a simple and inexpensive way to make beautiful jewelry all on your own! On August 6-8, the Coronado Community Center will be teaming up with National Park College to present a 3-day class all on this lovely form of crafting!

Each class will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and be taught by the talented Marlene Gremillion. Marlene will show you all the steps necessary to make gorgeous necklaces, earrings, and bracelets out of wire and beads. Attendees will also learn to make their own fasteners, ear wires, and head pins, as well as how to work copper wire into loops and wraps with simple hand tools. Required tools for the course include pliers with no grooves (round nose, flat, chain nose), wire cutters (flush cut type), chasing hammer if you have one, and (optional) glasses for close work.

The 3-day course costs $30 per person as well as a $10 material fee to be paid to the instructor. Click here to reserve your place today and learn something new!
