HSV Audubon: Birds of Prey Visit the Village

Submitted by on

On June 14, you could find yourself face-to-face with a beautiful aerial hunter! For their June program, the Hot Springs Village Audubon Society will be hosting live birds of prey for a fascinating and educational presentation at the Coronado Center. Mark your calendar now so that you won't miss this opportunity to get up close and personal with some incredible animals!

The event will be led by Rodney Paul, Founder and Director of Raptor Rehab of Central Arkansas. Since 2003, Raptor Rehab has worked tirelessly to rehabilitate sick, injured, or orphaned birds of prey so that they can eventually be released back into the wild. The RRCA facility is located in El Paso, AR and has over 3000 square feet of flight pens built specifically for this purpose.

On June 14 at 10 a.m., Mr. Paul will have some of the birds from the rehab center present while he talks about their role in the environment and the laws concerning migratory birds. Attendees will be able to speak to Mr. Paul and see the power and beauty of these species first-hand!

You can learn more about the event by going to the HSV Audubon website.
