dog on a welcome matHot Springs Village is happy to announce that the General Manager position has been filled. The Hot Springs Village POA was able to take the time to interview a bunch of qualified candidates but Kelly Hale stood out as a perfect choice to fill the void that HSV had. Mr. Hale will take the reins of the position on February 1, 2022.

Mr. Hale’s background hails from his 36 years with the United Parcel Service (UPS) from where he retired from in April of this year. After earning a BA in Science of Management he held a multitude of positions with UPS that gave him a rounded amount of experience that made him incredibly qualified. For example, he led the management in Operations, Security, Airlines, Human Resources and Engineering. At the time of retirement he was responsible for operations in the Central Zone of the country, All this has prepared him to slip into the role of the General Manager of Hot Springs Village.

Personally, Mr. Hale and his wife have been married for 32 years. They were drawn to the Village when they came here to visit his mother a few years ago. They were taken by the area and decided then to retire to Hot Springs Village when the time came. After his retirement in April they moved to HSV and recently were able to move into their newly built home. Mr. Hale and his wife have been bounced around the country due to his job and settling in HSV should be a welcome change.

The Board has reached an agreement with Mr. Hale with respect to his salary and benefits. His salary will be an annual amount of $190,000. With the job comes the use of a POA vehicle as well. Some perks of hiring a resident of HSV is that there are no moving expenses to cover as well as he brings to the table his own health care package from his retirement.

Look for a future event to be scheduled to formally meet the new General Manager as well as to personally show our gratitude to the interim General Manager who has been running the Village these past months. Best of luck to the new Manager!
