Explore Lake Coronado with Basecamp

Submitted by on

Everyone agrees that our many beautiful lakes are one of the best features that Hot Springs Village has to offer. They provide our residents not only with great views, but also with an unlimited supply of recreational activities, especially in the summer months. Next week, take some time to relax and enjoy being out on the water of Lake Coronado with a sunset cruise or wine and cheese paddle!

As always, Basecamp is hard at work organizing fun outdoor activities for HSV residents to enjoy. Next week, you can join Basecamp as they host two different events on Lake Coronado: the sunset boat cruise and the sunset wine & cheese kayak paddle!

The cruise is happening on Wednesday, May 16 on Basecamp’s 20’ pontoon boat. Those who plan on participating can meet at the Coronado Boat Ramp on Murillo Way at 6:30 p.m. The cruise will depart at 7 to cruise the lake under the setting sun. Tickets are $13 for HSV members and $16 for guests. Seating is limited to just 8 people, so be sure to grab your ticket as soon as possible!

If you're looking for something a little bit more active, consider the wine & cheese paddle on May 18! This is the first paddle of 2018, so taking part is sure to start the season out on the right foot! Paddlers can bring their own kayak or rent one from Basecamp. There will be a limited number of single and tandem kayaks available, as well as one canoe that can seat up to 3 people. Participants will meet at the Lake Coronado Helipad Kayak Launch at 5 p.m., paddle until sunset, then meet back on the patio of the community center to savor wine, cheese, and music by the waterfall. Check out the event page on Facebook or contact Michael at mbynaker@hsvpoa.org with any questions. Tickets are $8 for HSV members and $13 for non-members.

Tickets for both of these activities can be purchased online at hsvticketsales.com! When buying tickets, please put your POA member number next to name on ticket at checkout.
