Don't let diabetes control your life! Starting January 8, the Oaklawn Center on Aging will partner with the Coronado Community Center to offer the Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP). This 6-week course will focus on building a variety of skills that can motivate and empower people with diabetes to help them lead a better life!

Designed to be fun and interactive, DEEP is lead by certified lead trainer Kathy Packard and peer educator Janet Whitten with the Oaklawn Center on Aging. The workshop begins on January 8 and will meet every Monday for six weeks through February 12. Each class will be held at the Coronado Community Center from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Best of all, DEEP is free to all who wish to participate! Registration is required however, so call the Oaklawn Center on Aging at 501-623-0020 to register today.
