COVID-19 Restrictions Affect Beach Usage This Holiday Weekend

Submitted by on

fireworksDuring the holiday and due to the COVID-19 pandemic certain regulations and recommendations will be in place for Balboa Beach for the upcoming festivities on July 3rd and 4th. These are suggestions that have been made using the Arkansas Department of Health direction of use of social distancing to decrease the chance of spread of COVID-19.

  • Shade tents will not be permitted to be left overnight.

  • All tent set ups must allow for 6 feet of physical distance between family groups.

  • All shade tents must be placed in the designated area of the beach.

  • POA staff will be responsible for making sure all residents comply with all beach rules along with tent location and set up.

  • Before you set up your tent be sure to check-in with Beach Patrol Staff to make sure you are placing them in the correct area.

  • If the designated tent areas are full, no additional tents will be allowed on the beach.

Please reference this image of Balboa Beach to find out where exactly the tents will be placed on the 3rd and 4th of July. By adhering to social distancing requirements approximately 40-45 tents will be allowed to be placed on the beach area. Because of the rules stipulated by the Arkansas Department of Health there will be additional staff at both the Balboa and DeSoto Beach areas on both days to make sure all the rules and regulations for both beaches are being followed. Just a reminder that Cortez Beach is no longer available to be accessed due to the recent sale of the property.

Happy 4th of July everyone and enjoy the lovely amenities that Hot Springs Village offers this fabulous holiday weekend!
