Updated Info Required For Certain Access

Submitted by on

lake balboa dockThe beginning of the year is upon us and that means that yearly renewals of your gate passes must be updated. In order to access the East and West Gates properly, a new updated sticker must be in place by February 1, 2023. If you do not have the necessary sticker you will have to enter the gates in the inside lane so that your status can be verified by the gate agents.

In addition to having updated gate information, all boats that are currently sitting in or suspended above the water must also have current decal displayed. The Compliance Department in conjunction with the Lakes Department will be working towards getting all the boats checked for current information.

Don’t be caught without the proper documentation!! Check out the Members Section of the POA website to help you get updated.

Invasive Species Threaten Local Lakes

snail shellsInvasive species are becoming an issue in the lakes here in Hot Springs Village. In particular the POA is in contact with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission to help with figuring out which type of snail has invaded the water and how to control the spread. It is advised that no one should be eating or handling these snails since it is unknown what these snails could possibly be harboring in terms of parasites and/or harmful bacteria.
