Hot Springs Village is preparing for the Spring season, which means planned, controlled burns of excess material will occur. This means the smell of smoke will be present and can affect air quality. If you have health problems, make sure to keep windows closed during times of present irritants.

These burns are carefully planned in coordination with forestry management and local safety officials. In doing so, it reduces the risk of wildfire and other incidents. This also helps keep our forests healthy and thriving. 

If you see an active fire and you are unaware of any scheduled activity, DO NOT HESITATE to call 911. It is better to report it than to be wrong about an active, unattended fire.
