Community Gathers To Keep Hot Springs Village Beautiful!

caution coneHot Springs Village residents can participate in an event that will help keep the Village free of litter. Keep Hot Springs Village Beautiful is a group that works in conjunction with Keep Arkansas Beautiful to gather volunteers to help make the village free of trash and debris. This Saturday, starting at 9 a.m., volunteers, dressed in bright yellow safety vests, will be present on three busy roads. This will include the entirety of DeSoto, Ponce from DeSoto to Highway 5, as well as Balearic from Ponce to Minorca. Drivers should be aware that these volunteers will be in the area and should proceed with caution.

4th Annual New Year's Trail Walk To Take Place

What better way to spend the New Year than a healthy trail walk through the Village? See the historical sights and sounds of the crisp winter season. Find interesting facts and special points throughout the trails from Hot Springs Village Parks and Recreation Department and Trails Committee. This year's walk is the 4th annual New Year's 1.5-mile trek starting on Balboa Beach Trail Head. The walk will commence at noon on Saturday, January 6th. No registration is required, but a waiver must be signed before the walk begins. Refreshments of coffee and cocoa will be provided as well. 

Chief Asks Retired Firefighters For Information

Chief Jason Miller is looking for interested parties to contact him at [email protected] to establish a meeting time for responders to the inquiry. Chief Miller hopes to create a group to share experiences and information to help the Hot Springs Village Fire Department gather ideas. When a time and place is created coffee and refreshments will be provided.
